Your privacy matters. DriverLedger collects only what is necessary to provide the service. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account information — email address and display name when you register
Financial data — income, expenses, and mileage records you enter
Location data — GPS coordinates when Auto-Detect mileage tracking is enabled (only while the feature is active)
Receipt photos — images you upload to attach to expense records (Premium only)
Device information — device type and operating system for app compatibility

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve DriverLedger:

To calculate mileage, tax estimates, and financial summaries
To store and sync your records across sessions
To send quarterly tax reminder notifications (if enabled)
To process subscription payments via RevenueCat
To respond to support requests

3. Location Data

Location access is used exclusively for the Auto-Detect mileage tracking feature. When enabled:

GPS coordinates are collected in the background to detect and measure drives
Only the calculated mileage (not raw GPS coordinates) is stored in our database
You can disable location access at any time in your device settings or within the app

We do not track your location when Auto-Detect is disabled.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant infrastructure provider. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Receipt photos are stored in a private storage bucket accessible only to your account.

Row-level security (RLS) policies ensure that users can only access their own data.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
RevenueCat — subscription and payment processing
Render.com — backend API hosting for tax calculations

Each provider has their own privacy policy. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

DriverLedger is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Export your data in CSV format (available in the app)

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
